It all first started in the East Coast, then the West Coast came out with the Gangsta Rap, now seems all the hip hop thats being played on the radio and on the cable shows all come out the Dirty South and Mid-West areas, why do they seem to be more popular then the East and West Coast rivals?

Does anybody know of songs that you can do hip hop dance to? I’m talking about uptempo songs rather then ballads or gangsta rap, the sort you see in dancing movies. And preferably modern ones, rather then old school. Thanks!

I hate how todays society is so influenced by this crap. Thankfully though, it seems like the influence is dying out. Atleast thats what Ive noticed. Also, Not to sound racist at all but whenever Im reading people post things against rap music, the responses more often than not are “stop tryin to bring down black people, its our way of expression” or “white people hate on rap music”. Im not targeting that certain race even though black people may have been the “pioneers of hip hop” or whatever-there are rappers of many ethnicities.Im pretty sure there are rappers out there who actually rap about something meaningful or personal. But if you listen to the lyrics in rap music and what they talk about, the same old, tired, useless things over and over ex. sex, “bling bling”, drugs, :”gangsta life”, madd fine girls aka hoes, etc. Do you actually think people are going to respect that??
1) My friends and family have talked about this like…twice before. But I dont devote my life to talking about this subject, Trust me. . I know these are random people online but I just wanted to get other peoples opinion too since Ive been reading about it.

2) I know its been said before, but Im giving MY opinion. Is it my fault lots of other people share these views?

2) Im not white. Thats so typical of you to assume.

3) I didnt say all rap is crap. I did say Im sure there are rappers out there that have something meaningful to say. They’re just being drowned out, obviously.

4) Its so surprising that the ones being immature and cursing are the ones who support rap. Influenced by it a little to much, arent we?

Yeah…Thanks.

Eazy-E or Ice-T? Old school west coast gangsta rappers. They are legends in hip hop. Almost everybody got their game from these two pioneers of hip hop believe it or not. These were G’s, knew how to get money with ease. They lived the life, that a lot of rappers talk about and ain’t never done jack! Anyway was more of a gangster in their day? Who was a better rapper as well? Eazy E or Ice-T? I admire them both. Old school rappers lead the way!

These were their choices in no particular order…what do you think?

Moonshine – Savage feat. Akon
Go to Church – Ice Cube feat. Snoop Dogg
Show Me What You Got – Jay-Z
Nasty Girl – Notorious B.I.G feat. Nelly
Pump It – Black Eyed Peas
Gangsta Walk – Coolio feat. Snoop Dogg
You Don’t Know – 50 Cent, Eminem, Cashis & Lloyd Banks

BTW, Phrase is an Aussie if you haven’t heard of him & Savage is from New Zealand (I live in Oz & have seen both of them & wanted to support them)

Does hip hop still have a future? 7

I remember when hip hop was about having fun and battling skills with one another on the microphone, now its all gangsta rap, put two slugs dead in that fools chest, or big booty, and so much profanity. Can we ever go back to the real essence of what hip hop use to be or is this it? Why do you need to be shot 9 times to make it in the hip hop business? Why is this business so dangerous with Biggy and Tupac being shot over some bs, what has hip hop come to these days? What do you think?
