I am putting a mix together to get me energized while working out or when I’m stuck in traffic. I want something really upbeat and tracks that really just make you wanna sing out loud and start moving.

It could be old or new songs. But I’m not really into hard-core gangsta rap. Just stuff that’s fun and stimulating.

I’ve set up a website aimed at rehoming a number of abandoned cats that were living on the street, and I’m also a huge hip hop lover so it has a page called “the kitties dig hip hop”….and I’ve put up a Kittiesinthehood Top Ten Hip Hop Songs for 2006 ( at http://www.kittiesinthehood.com )
These were their choices in no particular order…what do you think?
Impossible – Kanye West feat. Twista & Keyshia Cole
Pac’s Life – Tupac w/ Ashanti
Moonshine – Savage feat. Akon
Go to Church – Ice Cube feat. Snoop Dogg
Show Me What You Got – Jay-Z
Nasty Girl – Notorious B.I.G feat. Nelly
Pump It – Black Eyed Peas
Gangsta Walk – Coolio feat. Snoop Dogg
You Don’t Know – 50 Cent, Eminem, Cashis & Lloyd Banks
Hold On – Phrase

BTW, Phrase is an Aussie if you haven’t heard of him & Savage is from New Zealand (I live in Oz & have seen both of them & wanted to support them)

I remember when hip hop was about having fun and battling skills with one another on the microphone, now its all gangsta rap, put two slugs dead in that fools chest, or big booty, and so much profanity. Can we ever go back to the real essence of what hip hop use to be or is this it? Why do you need to be shot 9 times to make it in the hip hop business? Why is this business so dangerous with Biggy and Tupac being shot over some bs, what has hip hop come to these days? What do you think?

Listen to the lyrics Jesus Christ (PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND UNLESS YOU CLICK ON THE LINK AND LISTEN TO THE SONG, OR HAVE HEARD THIS SONG BEFORE). I don’t listen to rap much at all, but this is that type of fire what burns the disintegrates the skin by the heat of the fire without the actual substance of fire touching you. The Heat scorches you. GODDAMN.

I didn’t know about this dude, I’d actually go out and buy his CD.

This is a question for people who listen to Rap and Hip Hop. I’m not into the gangsta lifestyle or nothing and I know Lupe isn’t either, but this is unreal, like a Naz in his prime when he flipped it with illmantic. What you guys think of this song?
ROFL THE ILLNESS of this got me writing incoherent.

I don’t listen to rap much at all, but this is that type of fire which burns and disintegrates the skin by the heat of the fire without the actual substance of fire touching you. The Heat scorches you. GODDAMN.
